Siddharth Anand's Exit

Initially, Siddharth Anand and his production house, Marflix, were to co-produce Krrish 4 along with Rakesh Roshan's FilmKraft Productions. However, reports state that Anand has walked out on the project due to a clash in schedules. This is said to have happened because of Anand's commitment to directing his home production, 'King' starring Shah Rukh Khan. A source was quoted saying, "Siddharth is now fully occupied as both producer and director of 'King', which is scheduled to begin filming in May and continue through the end of the year. This created a timeline clash with 'Krrish 4', which was tentatively slated to commence production by the end of 2025." 

Budgetary Constraints

There has also been a discussion about an increasing budget with reports claiming it has reached ₹700 crore. This staggering budget has reportedly prompted production houses to look elsewhere for project commitments. Also, fears of the film's diminishing significance in the post-Marvel era are also cited as reasons for Anand stepping back. A source mentioned, "The studios were not confident about Krrish at this budget in the post-Marvel era as it has been more than a decade since the release of Krrish 4."

But sources close to the project have termed such an exorbitant budget prying and "completely untrue." It is believed that Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan have engaged all date studios in India for a fat deal for the film.

Rakesh Roshan Passes the Directorial Baton

Yet another landmark for the Krrish series would be crossing the directorial line of the blockbuster, with the creative driving force and director of all previous installments, Rakesh Roshan, deciding to pass on the direction of the next installment. He has said he feels it is best to hand over his directorial duties while he still can watch over the process. He stated, "The day has to come when I have to pass on the baton. So, it's better I do it when I am in my senses, so that I can overlook the process as well[,] and ascertain whether he's doing it correctly or not."
