Rhea Chakraborty lawyer appreciates as CBI closes an end to Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

The tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020, sent shock waves through the country and led to several investigations and media trial. Several agencies-from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigations to those set up by Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)-have constituted inquiries into various aspects of a multifaceted case. Now, in what appears to be a significant move, the CBI has claimed to close its investigation, meaning that no indications of foul play were found.

After this, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish  issued the following statement of thanks to the CBI for its thorough investigation and added that Rhea finally has relief from several years of legal battles and public opinion.

CBI's Closure Reports and Their Relevance

The CBI has two closure reports-in one case discussed above, pertaining to the abetment to suicide case registered by Sushant's father, K.K. Singh, and another holding that Rhea Chakraborty filed against Sushant's sisters. Both reports have already been filed in special courts in Patna and Mumbai.

CBI's findings seemingly substantiate the earlier conclusion arrived at by the Mumbai Police-sustaining that this is a case of suicide by Sushant Singh Rajput. No credible evidence to suggest murder or abetment to suicide was found during the investigation. AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) forensic report seemed to coincide by ruling out poisoning or strangulation.

Rhea Chakraborty: Her Ordeal and Media Trial

Since Rhea was condemned and decided guilt for Sushant's demise, she was criticized by the media for being a villain and accused of financial misrepresentation, mental harassment, and even running a drug cartel. Public opinion was swayed mostly into believing sensationalist news media reporting.

Rhea ended up being arrested in a drug-related case by NCB, and it further complicated matters in the media. Rhea spent 27 days in jail before getting bail; however, over time, the accusations began to crumble due to the absence of evidence. Later, the Bombay High Court and Supreme Court ruled in her favor several times, indicating that many of the claims were exaggerated or not substantiated.

His lawyer Satish , who maintained that Rhea was victimized in this media parallel run in a misguided investigation, stated that now with the CBI closing the case, that statement represents a sense of validation.

Legal Struggles and Major Developments:

Besides the CBI investigation, Rhea Chakraborty stood tied in many.

1. Enforcement Directorate (ED) Investigation-Among Others :

The ED ran investigations on financial transactions between Rhea and Sushant.Ultimately, no tangible evidence of laundering or fraudulent transactions was found.

2. NCB-Implicating Drug Case against Rhea:

Both Rhea and Showing Chakraborty were arrested for procurement of drugs. The Supreme Court granted her bail noting that the charges were flimsy.

3. CBI's investigation and final report:

Murder, professional rivalry, and abetment to suicide were angles the CBI probed, together with others. In the end, no outside foul play was proved; thus, their conclusion stood.

Sushant Singh Rajput Family and Their Responses

Sushant's father, K.K. Singh, lodged an FIR against Rhea in Bihar, wherein he accused her of misusing funds and abetting his son's suicide. His family demanded a CBI inquiry and expressed dissatisfaction with the way the case was being dealt with by the Mumbai Police.

Nevertheless, with the CBI wrapping up its probe, promptness eludes an official statement from the family. Whether the family will challenge the findings will remain to be seen.

Impact on Media Ethics and Mental Health Awareness

The case of Sushant Singh Rajput exposed the other side of Indian media. The media trial and public glare overshadowed the due process, led to misleading information, online abuse, and even harassment of those associated by the process.

Rhea Chakraborty was demonized by relentless campaigns launched by numerous news channels, invigorating hate narratives. The unethical reporting which blurred the lines between the two parts (investigation and entertainment) was marred by scorn from Press Council of India and many media watchdogs.

Conclusion

Now that the investigation by the CBI has been completed with respect to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Rhea Chakraborty's counsel has certainly felt relieved with the closing of this case. It has been one of the most trying and popular inquiries, which ignited discussions across the country. Although the official conclusions assuaged legal doubts, it is still an emotionally charged issue, possibly from a Bollywood point of view. While the industry and fans move ahead, the focus now shifts to putting Sushant's controversial death behind him and instead remembering him for his talents and contributions.
